Principal’s Letter

Dear Prospective Students, Parents, and Friends,
I invite you to explore our school through a personal visit, at open houses, and via this website and our brochure. You will discover a vibrant community and an educational experience that offers the best in contemporary practices and technology––all within the setting of a beautiful, historic facility.
Holy Names Academy students graduate as confident, creative young women who are prepared for college and for life. Our program is designed so that each student can discover and develop her own unique talents and interests. The opportunities are unlimited––from academics to athletics to the arts to community service.
Guided by the charism of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, our faculty and staff are committed to bringing out the best in each young woman under their direction. They will challenge her to expand her horizons, provide her with personalized support, and encourage her to develop her goals and dreams.
An Academy education is more than a four-year experience; it is a lifetime of connection and friendship. Those of you who choose Holy Names will make lifelong friends and experience a warm, welcoming community. The Academy has graduated over 9,500 young women during its 132 years of serving the Seattle metropolitan area. Come and see what others before you have discovered. An Academy education will open doors to your future!
I look forward to meeting you and to speaking personally with you about the educational adventure that is Holy Names Academy.
Sincerely,
Liz Eldredge Swift ’71
Head of School and Principal
