Scholarship/Placement Exam

HNA administers a Scholarship/Placement Exam to all incoming 9th graders.   Applicants for admission in Fall 2013 may take the exam on Saturday, December 8, or Sunday, December 9, 2012.

A Scholarship/Placement Make-up Exam is offered on Saturday, January 12, 2013.  The exam fee is which includes lunch is $40. Please download the registration form, complete it, and mail it to the address on the form along with the fee. 

Students should arrive for the exam by 8:15 a.m.  They will have snack/restroom breaks during the morning.  The exam will end at approximately 12:30 p.m., and lunch will be served.  Students should be picked up at 12:45 p.m.

The exam is one of several components used to determine admission status, placement, and scholarship awards.  It consists of a writing sample as well as a standardized, multiple-choice exam including sections in verbal and mathematical areas.  Each section is timed according to its length.  Students will not need to bring a calculator or pencil; all necessary materials are provided.
