Lacey London receives the school’s annual Loeken Award
Ms. Lacey London received the school’s annual Loeken Award. This award, established and endowed by Wil and Pat Loeken, seeks to recognize a staff member who has gone the extra mile in service to the Academy. Like the Distinguished Teaching Award, the Loeken honor carries with it a $2,500 stipend for personal or professional development. Ms. London has served the Academy for 16 years, the past ten as Athletic Director. From training coaches to initiating new athletic opportunities, she has had a significant impact on the success of HNA’s programs.
She is known for her team spirit, positive energy, initiative, and deep commitment to the mission of HNA. She earned her B.A. in Education from Western Washington University and her M.A. in
Coaching Leadership and Athletic Administration from Concordia University. Ms. London brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Academy’s program. She is also recognized locally and nationally for her leadership in women’s athletics. She currently serves as President of the Metro League and serves on the Executive Board of the Washington Secondary School Athletic
Administrators Association, where she is the past President. In addition, Ms. London serves on committees with the SeaKing District 2 and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
