Liturgies and Prayer Services
All-School Liturgies
All-school liturgies take place at both the Holy Names Academy chapel and at St. Joseph Church, a few blocks from school. Students volunteer as lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, cantors, gift bearers, and cross bearers. The HNA Worship Team and Orchestra provide music at our liturgies.
The following liturgies are celebrated during the school year:
- Mass of the Holy Spirit (September)
- Blessed Marie Rose Liturgy (October)
- All Saints Day Mass (November)
- Feast of the Immaculate Conception Liturgy (December)
- Catholic Schools Week Mass—Multicultural theme (January)
- Ash Wednesday Mass
- Mary Day Liturgy (May)
Prayer Services
Prayer services take place throughout the school year and are led by Campus Ministry Officers and Theology classes. Some examples include:
- Advent Reconciliation
- Lenten Reconciliation
- Holy Thursday
- Friday Rosary
- Stations of the Cross
- Eucharist Adoration
