Service Trips

At Holy Names Academy, students are passionate about community service and social justice. Inspired by the mission and vision of the Sisters of Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, HNA provides opportunities to serve both locally and globally. 

Agape

Each year, a group of rising 9th-, 10th-, and 11th-grade students travel to Whatcom County to participate in a week-long service-learning experience called the Agape Service Project, sponsored through the Seattle Archdiocese. Students learn about human dignity, issues affecting migrant farmworkers, and why we are called to serve. Participants volunteer at a food bank and spend time with migrant families.  

Shirts Across America

Established in 2007 by high school and college students (including HNA alumnae), Shirts Across America has been working continuously for over a decade to move families displaced by Hurricane Katrina back to their homes in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Courts for Kids

HNA recently partnered with the organization Courts For Kids for international service trips. Courts For Kids mission is "Transforming lives through building (athletic) courts and cultural exchange." In April 2026, HNA students and chaperones traveled to San Juan Jicayan, Mexico for a week of service and learning. Students connected with the local community and experienced the culture and life of the Jicayan community.
