This past Saturday, December 6, we gathered at Holy Names for our 36th annual Deck the Dome. Over 360 guests joined us as we came together to celebrate the holiday season in our beautifully decorated school. The joyous evening included a lively cocktail hour, silent and live auctions, raffles, and seasonal music from HNA’s choir, vocal ensemble, orchestra, eclectic strings, and dads’ choir. The grand finale of the evening was stepping outside to see the Dome light up to kick off the holiday season!

We were ecstatic to honor Varonica Ragan, parent to Emily ’27, as the Dorothy McBurney Foutey Volunteer of the Year.  As a Parent Board member since 2023, Varonica has worked diligently as the HNA/O’Dea liaison, helping to strengthen the connection between the two schools. Varonica is also known for bringing her warmth and dependability to Cougar Club sales and grad night prep. As Jerry Javier, Parent Board President, states: “Her steady reliability, quiet dedication, and generous spirit have made a lasting difference in the HNA community.”

Together, we raised over $170,000 for the expansion of HNA’s student support services, which includes the Academic Support and Counseling Centers.  These essential programs serve all HNA students through peer-to-peer tutoring and offer individualized support for students with learning or health needs, academic accommodations, and mental health challenges. Funds raised will create a student-centered space—equipping HNA’s dedicated staff to provide personalized, responsive care and guidance.

Thank you to everyone who made Deck the Dome an evening to remember. We are grateful to the donors, attendees, ambassadors, musicians, and volunteers who made the event merry!
