Metro League Spectator Guidelines for Winter Sports

To begin the winter sports season as safely as possible, the Metro League will be limiting spectators at all contests. In addition, all attendees must wear a well-fitted mask and show proof of vaccination (for anyone 5 years and older) or a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event date.

Depending upon the school and the sport, spectators will range from no spectators to 50% of gym capacity. Please see sports offerings below and review their spectator policy this season:

    • Basketball – Range from 25 – 50% of gym capacity depending upon the school
    • Gymnastics – Range from no spectators to 50% gym capacity depending upon the school

Holy Names Academy will communicate our capacity to the visiting school’s athletic director, who is responsible for communicating to their families and community.

Please note this spectator policy will be continually evaluated throughout the season and maybe adjusted by the League at any time.
