Blessed Marie Rose Liturgy

On Thursday, October 6, HNA had its first all-school Mass in over two years! We gathered at St. Joseph to honor Blessed Marie Rose, Foundress of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. We honored the legacy of our Holy Names Sisters as we celebrated our SNJM Charism.

Every October, we celebrate the life and work of Blessed Marie Rose Durocher, who founded the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary in Longueuil, Québec, in 1843. The legacy of Blessed Marie Rose lives on at Holy Names Academy in the values that have shaped its mission and school culture since the school’s beginning in 1880. We celebrated Blessed Marie Rose and all the Sisters who have served our school at a special liturgy on Thursday, October 6, at St. Joseph Church, two blocks west from HNA at 18th Ave. E. and E. Aloha.
