With team victories in both of their December meets, the defending WIAA State gymnastics champions are off to a strong start in the new season. On December 7, Cougar gymnasts scored a 173.8 over Ballard (170.4), Sehome (160.7), and West Seattle (136.5). On December 14, they scored 162.9 points over Ingraham’s points.
Standouts
In the meet at Ballard, Cait McNeill ’20 placed first on bars (9.5) and second on beam (9.25). Emily Hawkins ’22 placed second on floor (9.2) and Sarah Klute '22 placed third on bars (9.0) Against Ingraham, Sierra Snavlin ’21 placed first on vault (8.2) and second in All-Around (31.5), Ally Neiders ’22 was first on bars (8.6), Cait McNeill took first on beam (8.8), and Kaysa Lundberg ’19 won first on floor (9.1).

Cougar gymnasts return to action Friday (January 11) in a four-way meet with Bainbridge, Garfield, and West Seattle, beginning at 6 p.m. at Ballard High School.
