In her front yard, Matilda ’20 set up a box for food donations (pictured right). She delivers the items to the University Food Bank every Wednesday with her family.
Ava ’22 delivered groceries—and musical talent— to her grandparents’ retirement center. Ava wrote about this experience: “It was awesome to see their faces light up and see my grandpa call his neighbors to come on their porches and watch!” You can check out the video here.
Laura ’23 and Athena ’22 have been involved in the #DoGoodFromHome challenge through Design for Change USA. They have helped create broadcasts about the good works of teens in Washington State. For every student who participates and includes #Hasbro, Hasbro will donate a toy to the child of a health care worker. You can check out their broadcast here!
Kyndal '21, Alina '21, and Rowan '21 have been volunteering the Burien Community Garden during the Stay Home, Stay Safe order (pictured below).

Jasmine ’22 was supposed to participate in a service trip this summer. When she heard it was canceled, she and her friends decided to donate the funds they raised to a worthy charity.
Skylar ‘23 and family bought tulips from a woman whose income depends on the opening of farmers markets. They hand-delivered them to neighbors and friends with notes that said “sending happy thoughts!”
Teri Clark, who works in the HNA Academic Office, set out books for neighbors to take and enjoy (pictured right). Within the first 15 minutes, she could hear a little boy squealing with joy about picking out a new book.
Anna Sebree, HNA Librarian, has been stocking Little Free Libraries with non-perishable food, wrapped candies and bubbles, bringing small joys to her neighbors.
