Holy Names Academy achieved a remarkable milestone with our 2023 Jogathon fundraiser and set a new earnings record. With 100% participation from students, and a generous showing of support from the HNA community, Jogathon generated an incredible sum of $177,000. The funds are dedicated to and instrumental in supporting the school's athletic programs.
In an exceptional display of spirit and enthusiasm, Cougars participated in the Jogathon event on September 20th at Montlake Playfield. Skippers, Pipers, Cadets, and Emeralds shined in their class colors showing the unity, camaraderie, and fun that thrives at HNA.
The raised funds will play a pivotal role in the maintenance of HNA's athletic programs, meeting crucial needs such as field and pool rentals, procurement of uniforms and warm-ups, coaches' education, first-aid/CPR certifications, championship banners and plaques, and the acquisition of essential weight room equipment. This substantial financial boost will enrich the overall sports experience for both current and future student athletes.
Lacey London, HNA's Athletic Director, shared her heartfelt gratitude for everyone who contributed to Jogathon while noting the school's commitment to nurturing a culture of excellence in both athletics and academics, and focus on full development of the human person as part of our SNJM core values.
Special congratulations to the Cadets (10th Grade) who won the class competition, and to the alumnae Skippers, who won the alumnae competition!
