MS. APRIL LITTLE, VICE PRINCIPAL OF ACADEMICS AT HNA, 2006—2021

In e-mails to current students and school parents this week, Holy Names Academy Head of School and Principal Liz Swift announced a transition in the school's administration team, effective January 25, 2021: Dr. Marianne McGah has been selected as the new Vice Principal of Academics, succeeding Ms. April Little.

From Mrs. Swift's e-mail:

April Little
April Little, Vice Principal of Academics, has been an inspiring member of our faculty and administration and we thank her for 19 years of dedicated and enthusiastic service to the HNA community. April has taken a position in the Edmonds School District, where she will work with teachers and curriculum. I am very pleased that April will continue to teach her AP English Literature class at HNA through the end of the school year and will assist with the administrative transition. April served our school for five years as an English teacher before being appointed Vice Principal of Academics in 2006. Her commitment to the mission of Holy Names Academy and to diversity and equity work—as well as her advocacy for each student and her instructional leadership—have been gifts to our school.

Marianne McGah '01
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Marianne McGah has been selected as the new Vice Principal of Academics and will begin in this position on January 25. Marianne currently serves on our administrative team, chairs and teaches in the Theology Department, and serves as Curriculum Council Chair. Marianne earned her EdD in Educational Leadership from Seattle University, her MA in Secondary Education from Providence College, and her BA in Theology from the University of Portland. She is a proud alumna of the HNA Class of 2001.

Marianne and April will work closely together in the next few weeks and throughout the spring to ensure a smooth transition. I am grateful to April and Marianne. Both are wonderful educators and colleagues.
