2022-2023 Theatre & Film at Holy Names Academy

  • Fall Play: Clue

The 2022 fall play—Clue—was performed November 3 - 5, in the HNA auditorium! Thank you to everyone who came out to see this performance.

Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

  • Spring Musical

Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of a tale as old as time, Holy Names Academy proudly presented Disney's Beauty and the Beast. It is the adventure of a brilliant young woman, a lonely beast, and a castle full of colorful characters learning to embrace the uniqueness of each individual and realize the power of compassion. Performances ran April 20-22. Congratulations and thanks to the cast and crew of this year's Spring Musical for an excellent production!

  • New Works Festival

In New Works, students have the opportunity to showcase their theatre and film talents. Top films and stage productions are judged by a professional panel. This year's New Works Festival in February 2023 was a great success. Students created original plays, films, and a musical - with hauntings and vampires as a popular theme!
